21st Annual Invitational High School Art Exhibition

April 12, 2008 - May 10, 2008

Reception: Saturday, April 12, 5 - 7 pm

Our annual high school exhibition provides the talented young artists the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a professional gallery setting. Teachers from more than 14 high schools in the region select student artwork in all mediums to enter the exhibition.

Special Free Event for Students: May 10 at 4 PM
Carolina Wheat, Associate Director of Admissions at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will present scholarship winning portfolios of students currently enrolled at SAIC. This is a great opportunity to see what a college of art is looking for in a student.

Faculty Exhibition

This is a wonderful opportunity to see the talents
that each member of Hinsdale Center for the Arts' exemplary faculty shares with their students. This exhibit will showcase artworks in a variety of media such as watercolor, oils, photography, collage, ceramics and calligraphy.

Hinsdale Center for the Arts now provides Audio Description Service
Hinsdale Center for the Arts offers Audio Description as a free service for visually impaired visitors to the Center.  Audio Description provides accessibility of visual images for people who are blind or have low vision.  It is a narration service that describes what a sighted person takes for granted. In a visual arts setting the listener is guided by concise, objective descriptions of the art on display.  Shayne Kennedy, HCA's Audio Describer will be available during all upcoming HCA Gallery exhibitions.
