Mary Strasevicius’s solo exhibition, ’2.4.2′, will be on display in the Hinsdale Public Library’s Quiet Reading Room through August 31, 2012.
HCA Faculty member and Hinsdale resident Mary Strasevicius creates art that responds intuitively and intelligently to an inner dialogue, often inspired by the sound of jazz music. Combining improvisation with composition, structure, line, shape, color and space produces lyrical abstract drawings and paintings. Mary received her M.F.A from Southern Illinois University and has exhibited her work worldwide. Past exhibitions include the Chicago Cultural Center, Gallery Jarmain in Toronto, the Contemporary Art Center of Vilnius in Lithuania and the National Museum for Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.
Mary teaches “Art Expressions” throughout the year at HCA for kids ages 5-8 and Drawing for older students.
